How Much Does EVO ICL Cost in Texas?

EVO ICL

If you’ve been researching vision correction options in Texas, you might have come across EVO ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) surgery. This advanced procedure offers a long-term solution for people with nearsightedness and astigmatism, providing freedom from glasses and contact lenses. While the upfront cost of EVO ICL may seem high, it’s important to consider how it can be more cost-effective in the long run compared to the lifetime expenses of glasses and contacts. Let’s break down the costs and benefits of EVO ICL to help you decide if it’s the right option for you.

What is EVO ICL?

EVO ICL is a refractive surgery that corrects vision by implanting a small, biocompatible lens inside the eye, between your iris and natural lens. Unlike LASIK, which reshapes the cornea, EVO ICL involves placing a lens that works with your eye’s natural anatomy to correct nearsightedness and astigmatism. This procedure is ideal for individuals who may not be candidates for LASIK due to thin corneas or higher prescriptions, offering a safe and effective way to achieve clear, sharp vision without relying on glasses or contacts.

How Much Does EVO ICL Cost in Texas?

In Texas, the cost of EVO ICL surgery varies depending on the practice and specific factors such as your prescription and any additional treatments required. It’s crucial to compare the long-term costs associated with maintaining glasses or contact lenses over time vs. a one-time investment in your vision.

Why EVO ICL is Cost-Effective in the Long Run

When you think about how much you spend on glasses, contact lenses, and regular contact/glasses up-keep over the years, EVO ICL can actually save you money in the long run. Let’s break it down:

1. The Cost of Glasses

On average, a pair of prescription glasses can cost anywhere from $200 to $600, especially if you add special lenses like anti-glare coatings or transitions. If you replace your glasses every 1-2 years, those costs add up quickly. Over a lifetime, you could easily spend thousands of dollars just keeping up with new prescriptions and styles.

2. The Cost of Contact Lenses

Contact lenses can be even more expensive over time. Most people spend between $250 and $600 per year on contact lenses, cleaning solutions, and eye exams. Over the course of 10 to 20 years, the cost of wearing contacts can easily surpass $5,000 to $10,000.

3. Freedom from Ongoing Expenses

Once the EVO ICL surgery is complete, you won’t need to worry about constantly replacing glasses or buying new contacts. While you’ll still need to attend regular eye check-ups, the one-time cost of EVO ICL eliminates the ongoing expenses of corrective lenses, making it a much more cost-effective solution in the long term.

The Value of Clear Vision Without the Hassle

Beyond the financial benefits, EVO ICL offers something that’s hard to put a price tag on: the freedom to live without glasses or contacts. Imagine waking up every day with clear vision—no more fumbling for your glasses in the morning or dealing with dry, irritated eyes from wearing contacts all day.

EVO ICL also provides:

– Better night vision compared to traditional contacts or glasses

– Less dependence on eyewear, especially for activities like sports or swimming

– Sharp, high-definition vision without the worry of losing or breaking glasses

Flexible Financing Options

Many ophthalmology practices, including Mueller Vision, offer flexible financing plans to make EVO ICL surgery more affordable. With options like interest-free financing for a certain period or extended payment plans, you can spread the cost of surgery over time, making it easier to fit into your budget.

Additionally, if you have a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), you can often use those funds to pay for EVO ICL, further reducing your out-of-pocket expenses.

Just had my cataract removed from my right eye by Dr. Mueller. Even though there was some nervousness on my part the surgery went well and was quite painless. Dr. Mueller and his staff are very attentive and explained everything to me beforehand and as he went during the procedure. My surgery is only a few days old but I can already tell a huge difference in my eyesight. I've never had a surgeon take the time to call me himself after a procedure to see how I was doing, but Dr. Mueller did exactly that, that evening. In my book you can't go wrong trusting your precious eyesight to Dr. Mueller! I'll be having my left eye done in a few days and am looking forward to seeing everything more clearly. My thanks to him and his staff as well as to the staff at the surgical facility where the procedure was done.

What a great visual experience from start to finish. That's no pun intended bc the office environment is visually appealing and relaxing as well. I just loved Dr.Crowell's energy. But only is she bubbly and energetic, but super knowledgeable as well. She patiently and honestly answered my questions as I went in with a specific concern. Instead of trying to drag me into surgery for the money, she was like "no big deal right now so let's just keep an eye on it."

Can here after discovering the EVO ICL option corrective eye surgery as an alternative to LASIK. Dr. Mueller and staff were nothing short of exceptional. They are very thorough with the pre op, surgery, and the extensive follow ups. My vision has dramatically improved and I’m already seeing 20/15 after 2 days of the procedure. For anyone considering this route, please try Mueller Vision. Dr. Mueller was one of the investigators giving trial to the FDA for getting EVO ICL approved!

My experience with Mueller Vision has been amazing! I had been battling recurrent corneal erosion after an eye injury for a tad over two years. Initially, I would have an episode every few months or so and I was kinda, sorta okay with that. Unfortunately the frequency of the erosions began increasing and that is when I decided to visit Meuller Vision. They performed a procedure (don't know the exact name of the procedure) to remove the damaged layer of my cornea. I am now three months post-op and so far, so good. Thank you to Alondra, Amy, Dr. Crowell and Dr. Meuller. You guys are great but I hope to never have to see you again.
